Gerizim Rehabilitation Trust– is an NGO – Gerizim special home & school is registered under the Karnataka Government and by the Social Welfare Department of Karnataka.
Gerizim helps mentally challenged, underprivileged, needy & children in crisis
Although the main focus is on the mentally weak, Gerizim has stretched out to take care of the physically challenged & differently able people as well.
Gerizim was founded in 1989 by Mr. G. Jeyasingh Yesudian & his wife Mrs. Indira Yesudian. Support by the board of trustees, friends, family, supporters, well-wishers, etc who have and continue to provide the much needed encouragement and resources for the Children and people at Gerizim. The trust was started with the objective to “Serve & Educate” the children and women in need and forsaken by society. Since 1989, over 35 years Gerizim has been serving the mentally retarded children, orphans and people in need. A true testament to its service mindset, to uplift the Children and Women in need. Gerizim has been a centre of hope and a loving shelter to many individuals and family, enabling them grow and prosper so they continue to be blessing from generation to generation. Gerizim has grown to have 2 special residential home & school for the mentally retarded Children who are orphaned, 3 Vocational Training centre’s for the differently abled and supporting the people in need.
